Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Monteoliveto , I enjoyed a delightful culinary experience that captured the essence of local flavors. The ambiance of the on-site restaurant, Casa Aurelio, provided a serene backdrop, allowing me to truly savor my meals. Breakfast featured homemade pastries that transported me back to memories of shared family breakfasts in Shanghai, reinforcing the connection between cultures. I particularly appreciated the nearby eateries, like 'O Sfizio Pizzetteria Seccia, which offered a tasty glimpse into Neapolitan cuisine. My afternoons were especially vibrant as I wandered to local cafés, savoring robust espressos that complemented the region's rich coffee culture. The location itself was advantageous for exploring nearby historical sites, allowing me to meander through the historic center while indulging in local delicacies. The host's commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere further enriched the experience, making it feel like more than just a stay-but rather a culinary journey into the heart of Naples. I would definitely return for another authentic Italian experience.
